best friends?

Best friends. What do best friends mean to you?

For me, best friends are those you're comfortable with no matter where you are, what you're doing, what you're talking about. Those you can trust, you can rely on. Those who are there when you need them. Those you can show your real self to. No secrets, no lies. These are what i think best friends mean.

Funny how there are people who called themselves your best friends,
when they don't even know the real you. 
And some who assume that they are best friends,
just because they are close.

That is so wrong.
You don't become best friends by being close to each other.
You become best friends when you understand each other.
When you know each other very well.
When you love and care for each other.

My best friend(s)? Still looking for one.(or more)

I have some close friends. But our friendship is not a great one. Not something I am proud of. Not something I would think about when I'm old.
